Peacock Safety Irons (Childs Safety Stirrup Irons)

Good quality stainless steel stirrup irons complete with leather tabs and rubbers.

Ideal for children, Peacock Safety Irons have a strong rubber loop which should be fitted to the outside edge of the iron. In the event of a fall the rubber comes loose and thus prevents the risk of the rider being dragged. Rubber rings must be inspected regularly and mounting from the ground should be avoided as the tread can become bent.

NOTE: These irons don't come with treads as people generally have preferences on colour and material of treads - we have black rubber treads available if you need. Please select them as an option below if you want them

Tip

With all Stirrup Irons when the widest part of the foot rests on the tread there should be half an inch clearance on either side of the foot. Fitted any smaller your foot risks getting stuck and any larger there is a danger of your foot slipping through and jamming.
